In the mist of the Black Lives Matter movement, I can't tell you that I know what degree of racism African American people experience. I know it runs very deep. Being a minority and living in the US, I grew up experiencing racism in the school yard, while dating, and in the communities. As a mother and raising a biracial daughter, I know that I have to equip my child with knowledge and confidence to weather any doubts she may be experiencing being of mixed race. I reached out to writer/blogger and loving mother Kelly Coleman and we discuss the obstacles we face raising biracial children in this day and age.
